P4HA is actively working with our members to develop and advocate for Federal legislation that will improve medication adherence and patient outcomes, while saving money by keeping patients healthier and avoiding more costly medical care. Below is a list of legislation on which we are currently working. H.R.3447 FACtS Act | S. 870 CHRONIC Care Act

In Medicare fee-for-service (FFS), medical and pharmacy data exists in silos. P4HA has been working with Congress to link medical and pharmacy data to improve the use of medicines.

  1. Senators Carper (D-DE) and Roberts (R-KS) introduce a standalone bill in the 114th Congress- S. 3454
  2. Senators Carper and Roberts introduce an amendment to the Senate Finance CHRONIC Care Act (S. 870), which is passed out of Committee Spring 2017.
  3. CHRONIC Care Act (S. 870), including Carper/Roberts Medicare A/B/D Data Sharing (Sec. 601), passed the Senate in September 2017.
